The Month of Action has been called by the Global Call to Action Against Poverty, the campaigning alliance that was founded at beginning of 2005 and has grown into the world’s largest ever anti-poverty movement, with organisations and national platforms representing around 150 million people. In 2005, this movement inspired more than 36 million people to take action to tackle poverty and inequality in their countries and around the world, whether by signing petitions, writing to political leaders or taking to the streets. In 2006, it continues to challenge the structures of poverty and injustice and has called for us all to unite again in global solidarity.
There is always a warm welcome at Wesley.
